Hey Everyone!
So not much has happened here. We had a good Halloween. Camile dressed up as an "It" (not from Addams family), Noelle was a Fairy, and I was an army woman. Ben was on his camping trip with school. Camille was really the only one from our family that went trick or treating. Noelle stayed home and watched Hocus Pocus, and I went out with a couple of the families from the branch that have little kids. I am not sure how many trick or treaters we had, but there were a TON walking around Jingshan.
I don't remember if I mentioned it, but I was called as the branch chorister, and the 1st councelor in the Laurel organization, and Noelle is president of the Beehive organization.
We also have a new family in the branch with 4 girls, 2 are YW age and the other 2 are younger. The 2 YW age are going to SIS but the other 2 are just being homeschooled because, unfortunately, they will probably only be for 3 months. But it is fun to have them here anyway!
We are going to Macau (sp?) on Sunday for a baptism of a lady that lives in Shenzhen, but didn't know there was a branch here, so she has been going to Maccau every Sunday for church! So we are going to go to her baptism.
We also had branch conference last Sunday, and it was amazing how many people were there! There were probably over 80 people! So that was really good!
The grade 9's at school just spent a week in the Guizhou province, which is probably the poorest province in China. They were there to dig wells, and then go and visit the schools, and take them supplies and sports equiptment. The reason I mention this is because I have been helping raise money to buy the supplies and sports equiptment for this province. I have been teaching kickball 18 2nd and 3rd graders for the past 8 weeks, and I also helped coordinate a bakesale fundraiser for the province also!! I really wanted to go, even though I wasn't in 9th grade, just to see the looks on those kids faces as they were given the new school supplies and the balls and rackets and gloves and everything! I know it would have been an amazing experiance and I hope that I will get to do this later on in the year with my grade, in a different province. I also have some pictures from the trip that I will post so you can see the conditions of these people. It really made me more appriciative of what I have.
I am not sure weather Noelle or Ben get to go do anything like this, but I hope they do too, because it is such an eye opener for how they live, and even just looking at the pictures makes you really grateful for what you have.
We don't have school this coming week. I don't know why, but we don't! So that is going to be nice.
We are also have 70 people over for Thanksgiving dinner!!! It is pretty much the whole branch! We are not having it ON Thanksgiving because everyone still has school and work, so we are doing the Saturday after! So that should be fun!
Hope everyone is doing well!
We miss you all!
Love, The Busaths
